Located half an hour from New York City, Escapist Studios is the quintessential musical playground, with its acoustically marvelous spaces and superb assortment of modern and vintage recording equipment.
The Main Hall offers unparalleled sonic options, with 21-foot ceilings, and two separate balconies at different levels. Instruments set up in the Main Hall can be mic'ed with a wide horizontal spread (from left and right), as well as a wide vertical spread (from above and below.)
The library is a big, carpeted room with books lining the walls; the double doors open onto the Main Hall. Set up any instrument in the library and leave the doors open for the perfect blend of 'dry' and 'live.'
Escapist Studios specializes in big drum sounds and live rock-band tracking, and is owned and operated by Benjamin Scheuer.
